Welcome to the Home of Sheepscot Valley Community Church!
Service Time: 11:00am on Sundays
We welcome you to visit us at our church, located in the Sheepscot Valley area. Our community means everything to us. This is why we strive to be a safe place to discover the miracles of Jesus Christ, our Lord. This opens up the opportunity to learn about Him and even help you understand your role in it. Even though we are a place to worship, we are not the average church. So, if you think that church isn't your thing or if you haven't been in a while, come check us out. We do things a little different than others so there is no pressure to do anything. Below is a list of what to expect here at Sheepscot Valley.
What to Expect at SVCC:
- Fun & Meaningful Music
- Relevant Messages From God's Word (The Bible)
- Family Friendly Environment
- Special Classes for Children
- Great Opportunities to Serve Your Community
Our community meets every Sunday at 11:00am for Worship at the SVCC building. This is located at the corner of Townhouse Road and Pittston Rd. in Whitefield, Maine. We are right across the road from the Kings Mills Fire Department.
If you can't make it to our service in Whitefield, we invite you to look at our companion church at Kennebec Community Church located at 5 Glenridge Drive, Augusta, Maine right behind the Rite-Aid. You can also visit our other companion church, Cornerstone Community Church, located on the corner of Route 202 and Cross Road (former Curves location) in the Winthrop Office Center in Winthrop, Maine. There is also a newly planted church in our network located in China, ME. This church is known as the New Life Church of China, which is located at 79 Legion Memorial Road at the American Legion off Route 3.
Special Thank You From Pastor Les
Today (January 8th) is Chris Wagner's last day leading worhip at SVCC. He feels called to another local body. I would like to say thanks to him for using his God given gifts to bless our Worship time. I also want to say thanks Katlin for sharing her husband with all of us. Sometimes I get overwhelmed as a young pastor, father, state employee, and so on. I consider CHris a friend, but I do feel convicted for not spending more time with he and Katlin outside of Sunday mornings. That is something I will seek to change in 2012. Thank you my Brother. From Pastor Les Dancer.
Special Thanks
SVCC would also like to say a special thank you to the First Baptist Church in Tupelo, Alabama for all their assistance and help they have and continue to provide us. Again, thank you for everything you have done. May God be with you all always. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and hope to see you on Sunday!
