SVCC Community Groups!
SVCC Community Groups
What is a community group? It is a community within a community where we can study, pray, serve, and do life together.
What is done in a community group? One chapter of the Bible is read and then discussed for the first half hour of the group. Two questions will always be asked:
1)What did God speak to you through this?
2)Do you have any questions about it?
There is no pressure for anyone to speak EVER. After Bible study time the group leader will ask everyone for Prayer requests and then they will Pray. The rest of the time will just be time to chat and snack. NO HOMEWORK
What about the serve part? Every 1 to 2 months each group will find a way to serve the community instead of meeting that week.
What if I miss a week or want to invite someone and we are in the middle of a book? We encourage you to invite guests to come to your group. If you are new to our Faith family we encourage you to try a group. The Bible is not an ordinary book that if you miss one part the rest doesn’t make sense. We at SVCC believe in the power of God’s word. Even if you come in on the 8th Chapter of a book it will still be profitable to you.
When and Where? We currently have 2 groups. As we grow we will add more.
-Group 1 will meet at Louise Dancer’s house which is handicap accessible from 6pm till 7pm on Thursday nights. Her address is 9 Trotter ln. Whitefield about a mile from the Church heading toward Pittston There is NO CHILDCARE for this group.
-Group 2 will meet at Church from 6pm till 7pm on Tuesday nights.
